Our Story

Glint Jewelry workshop with craftsperson working on minimalist piece

Crafting Simplicity, Embracing Elegance

Founded in 2018 in Sydney, Glint Jewelry was born from a passion for stripped-back design that celebrates the inherent beauty of precious metals and gemstones. Our founder, Emma Clarke, sought to create pieces that could transition seamlessly from everyday wear to special occasions, focusing on clean lines and timeless appeal rather than fleeting trends.

Each Glint piece is handcrafted in our Melbourne studio using sustainable practices and ethically sourced materials. We believe in the power of simplicity – that when unnecessary elements are removed, true beauty emerges. This philosophy guides everything from our design process to our packaging and customer experience.

Our team of skilled artisans combines traditional jewelry-making techniques with contemporary design sensibilities, resulting in pieces that feel both modern and timeless. We're proud to be an Australian brand that celebrates minimalism not as absence, but as intentional restraint that allows the wearer's unique personality to shine.

Element Collection featuring geometric silver jewelry pieces

Element Collection

Inspired by fundamental geometric forms, the Element Collection reduces jewelry to its essential shapes. These sterling silver pieces feature cubes, spheres, and lines arranged in asymmetrical compositions that create visual interest through balance rather than ornamentation. The matte finish provides a contemporary feel that complements the architectural inspiration behind the designs.

Contour Collection featuring curved minimalist jewelry pieces

Contour Collection

Our Contour pieces celebrate the subtle curves and contours of the human body. These sculptural items are designed to follow natural lines, creating harmony between jewelry and wearer. Crafted in 18k gold, each piece undergoes an extensive polishing process to achieve a reflective surface that captures and plays with light as the body moves.

Our Design Process

01

Concept Development

Every Glint piece begins as a concept that explores the relationship between form, function, and wearability. Our designers create initial sketches focused on essential lines and proportions, often inspired by architectural elements, natural forms, or geometric principles. During this phase, we remove unnecessary details until only the purest expression of the idea remains.

02

Material Selection

We carefully select materials that enhance our minimalist aesthetic while meeting our sustainability standards. Our gold is sourced from recycled content, and all gemstones are ethically mined or lab-created. The inherent properties of each material—its weight, reflectivity, and texture—inform the final design, ensuring harmony between form and substance.

03

Prototyping

Before production, we create multiple prototypes to test wearability, comfort, and visual impact. These models are worn by team members for days to ensure they integrate seamlessly with daily movement. This testing phase often reveals opportunities for refinement—perhaps a curve that needs slight adjustment or an edge that requires softening for comfort against the skin.

04

Handcrafting

Our skilled artisans transform approved designs into finished pieces using traditional metalsmithing techniques combined with modern precision tools. Each component is carefully crafted by hand, ensuring attention to the smallest details that machine production cannot achieve. Special emphasis is placed on finishing techniques, as the quality of surfaces is especially important in minimalist designs.

05

Final Inspection

Before reaching our customers, every piece undergoes rigorous quality control. We examine each item under magnification to ensure perfect finishing, secure connections, and proper weight. Only pieces that meet our exacting standards receive the Glint maker's mark—a small, discreet symbol that represents our commitment to quality and minimalist principles.
